Aid eligibility is based on standard estimated student expenses. Because a semester’s standard estimated student expenses (housing, meals, transportation, etc.) for remote learning at home are about $6,600 less than a semester’s standard estimated student expenses for on-campus residential learning, aid eligibility is less. Students’ specific actual expenses vary, but the standard estimated student expenses used for financial aid eligibility should make the decision to be on-campus or remote, fairly cost-neutral for most students/families. The standard estimated student expenses can be reviewed on WFU’s Cost of Attendance page.
